Finally, passengers going through airport security no longer need to take off their shoes.
“Thanks to our cutting-edge technological advancements and multi-layered security approach, we are confident we can implement this change while maintaining the highest security standards. This initiative is just one of many the Trump administration is pursuing to usher in the President’s vision for a new Golden Age of American travel,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in a July 8 press release.
This is one of many changes the travel world has experienced this year. TSA began enforcing the REAL ID Act (only state-issued IDs and driver’s licenses or passports are accepted for domestic flights) in May and reported a more efficient security process.
The Veterans Expedited TSA Screening (VETS) Safe Travel Act was signed into law in January and provides free PreCheck to severely injured and disabled veterans. On July 2, TSA announced free PreCheck for Gold Star families (spouses, children, and siblings of military service members who passed during service) and a $25 discount for uniformed service members and their spouses.
Active duty members who use their Department of Defense ID when booking travel also recieve free PreCheck.

A new combination of molecules may be a solution to human’s memory regression. CoQ10 is an antioxidant working in the mitochondria, which produces energy, and naturally occurs in our bodies. PQQ is a compound found in plants and some food that plays a role in the creation of new mitochondria.
As we age, mitocondrial cells are damaged and lower energy levels are noticeable. Until recently, there was no way of replacing lost mitochondria.
A 2023 study on their combined effect found that PQQ and CoQ10 prevent mitochondrial dysfunction and activly work toward mitocondiral biogenesis, or increasing the number and size of mitochondria.
Dr. Al Sears, founder and medical director of Sears Institute for Anti-Aging Medicine, created a drug that combines PQQ and CoQ10 called Ultra Accel Q. He explained to USA Today, “This new discovery is so powerful, it can multiply your mitochondria by 55% in just a few weeks. That’s equivalent of restoring decades of lost brain power.”

The House Committee on Ways and Means will meet on Wednesday, July 16, to hold a hearing “on the fast-growing digital asset industry with a focus on the affirmative steps needed to place a tax policy framework on digital assets.”
A bill introduced by Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) on July 3 aims to amend the 1986 Internal Revenue Code, which imposes taxation laws, and may be discussed in this meeting. This amendment proposes a tax exception for digital asset transactions under $300 and an end to the double taxation practice wherein miners are taxed once when assets are created and again when sold, among other protections for investors.
